      "The bitchy waiter" is one of the most fantastic blogs I have come across in my, well, short time of blogging. Seriously though, I wish I had come up with the idea to blog about the food industry and the annoying and also wonderful guests you meet while serving. Usually the blog has posts full of stories having to do with terrible guests, and notes left on credit card slips saying things like "get a real job" in defense for the terrible tip they left. The most recent post, from today actually, is the best one yet, and the story actually got in the news.
       Supposedly a mother was taking her two little girls for lunch at a Panera Bread when a costumer complained to an employee that one of the girls shoes were making loud squeaking noises that were disturbing them. The employee, making the worst decision in my opinion, went up to the mother and requested that the girl take her shoes off. The girl was 2 years old!! She wasn't creating a disturbance, she was simply walking. The mother was horrified by the request, not just because it was ridiculous, but because they were special orthopedic shoes for her daughters spinal abnormality and physical disability. Needless to say the mother left Panera, called up the local newspaper and told the story, and Panera had to make a public apology AND donate money to a charity that would help her daughter. I am really hoping that the person who made the complaint in the first place saw the story and hopefully felt like a complete fool, which they are!
